Our Church

Our church follows the example set by the apostles and the early Christian church as outlined in the scriptures. Luke writes in Acts 2:42
"and they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers".
This verse gives us a foundation on which we base our church.
Our church is somewhere we come to worship God, the creator of the earth and learn how to serve him. We come to read his word, to learn about his son the Lord Jesus Christ, to deepen our relationship with him and to learn of his purpose for our lives. The bible is the living word of God and it is important that we meet together regularly to be taught from it, to let the holy spirit challenge us as to how we should apply it in our daily lives.
As members of Gods family it is important that we not only serve him but that we serve others also. Part of Gods purpose for our lives is that we have fellowship together and love one another. The Christian life can be difficult at times so it is important that the church meet together to encourage one another, help one another, instruct one another and build each other up.
Every Sunday morning we meet around the Lords table to break bread. The Lords table is a time when we give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ for what he went through on the cross of Calvery on our behalf. It is important that we regularly remember the sacrifice that Jesus paid on the cross.
Prayer is where we pour out our hearts to God. Our church follows Jesus' example and encourages everyone from the youngest to the oldest to pray. Jesus said in Matthew 11:22 "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive". We are not to rely on our own strengths or worry about the things of tomorrow, but we are to pray to our Father in heaven who hears our every request and has promised to answer.
